Alexis Ruiz's passion for music and dance began at an early age, even before he could walk. Growing up in Antigua, Guatemala, he learned to dance and teach from his mother, who owned the school Ritmo Latino. At the young age of 12, he began teaching a diverse range of Latin dances and percussion. He went on to study percussion in Cuba, with some of the worlds most leading percussionists.

At the age of 17, Alexis relocated to Japan, where he founded his own dance school and created his own Latin jazz sextet, Foribale. His musical talents extend beyond playing instruments, as he is also a skilled sound engineer. His sound engineering company, AlphaRhythm, has produced music that can be found on popular platforms such as Spotify and iTunes.

 

Alexis is a true musical prodigy, possessing the rare ability to play multiple instruments, record himself, and edit his own work. In Norway, he is renowned for his performances with some of the best salsa bands, including Sonora Cimarron, La Descarga, Banakao, Son on Fire, Son Candela, and others. His expertise and musical genius have earned him a prominent place in the world of Latin music and dance.

Some of his latest works includes "I`m Yours MAMBO" and "Thank you mambo" together with DJ Dmitri.
